people: Who we are...
CSP of SD has 20 member Community Support Providers, all not-for-profit community agencies that are certified by the South Dakota Department of Human Services to provide a full range of services and supports that meet the needs and desires of individuals with disabilities and their families. The agencies are governed by local boards of directors and are required to meet established standards in order to be certified by the State of South Dakota.
Annually, over 3,300 staff members work nearly 6,000,000 hours to support almost 4,000 people with disabilities in a variety of community-based settings. Increasingly, these supports are being provided in more integrated settings within the community.
The services and supports provided to individuals with disabilities by provider agencies are focused on the goal to provide the highest quality services possible, supporting people with disabilities to connect with and become participating members of their communities, while also having personal control and choice in the life options.
